Do you fee that Sophie Currier has helped or hurt the causes of women and disabled people?
Sophie Currier is a recent medical school graduate who is currently feeding a 3 month old baby. She has ADHD and dyslexia and she sued for extra time to feed during a critical Medical Licensing exam. This is in addition to extensive time accomodations already given to her as a result of her disabilities. She was initially refused extra time to feed and won on appeal. She could have taken the test at a later date but felt that it was her right to take the exam while feeding. She is the ONLY person to ever make and be granted such a request. The board that administered the exam made it crystal clear on their website that her case is a unique one that they were appealing and that anyone else with such an idea in mind had better forget about it. Hmmmm...what do you think about this?
