Suggestion for my somewhat historical fiction book?

Clocks, time even, wasn’t generally followed very closely until the evolution of train travel. Trains being on time is what caused time to become important. I don’t know the exact timing of your story, but the evolution of trains seems to be important in timing the story you write about.
