Should I have a scar?

Before I deployed to Afganistan I had to get the small pox vac. I took care of it exactly as I was instructed considering the rough environment but now i'm home and a few weeks after the scab fell off, I have a scar where the shot was given. Its the exact same size and shape as the scab that fell off and is a slightly pinkish color. If I rub across it you can feel a VERY VERY slight recess in the skin. It doesnt itch nor does it physically bother me. I got the shot at the end of August and the scab fell off around mid September. Is this scar normal?
