How do I send a gift of money to my friends in the Czech Republic?

The most convenient is Western Union, you can send up to $1000 this way. You give the recipient a transfer number, either in mail or over the phone and they can pick up the money at any post office. Western unions fees are fairly high though. If you send a check or a bank draft it will take forever to clear. If they have a bank account, get the account number and bank address and you can do an electronic bank to bank transfer, this is the least costly way to send money.
