My husband abondened family moved to nova scotia we are in usa need advice?

I am really sorry for your situation. He sounds like a real clless jerk. The only thing I can think of is to Divorce him on grounds of abandonment and get court orders against him for child support and depending on which state you lived in alimony. I am not sure how these rulings will effect him in another Country but it would be enforceable if he ever decided to come back into this Country.
